More Than a FILMMAKER,
An Artist at Heart

Pranjal Dixit makes films that run on two tracks. What you see on screen is one story. What it means is another.

Born in India, trained in England, he has filmed a marbling painter whose hands hold an entire philosophy of impermanence (BEFORE THE SUNSET), a digital consent drama shot on ARRI Amira (SEND NOODZ), and grief distilled onto 16mm (SOLITUDE). His subjects are ordinary. His frames are not.

He holds an M.A. in Filmmaking and teaches cinema when he isn't making it — which means he spends a lot of time explaining to students why rules exist before showing them exactly how to break them.

When he's not behind a camera, he's procrastinating on an edit about a dancer who became a teacher and never quite let go of the stage.
